The Bristlenose Pleco originates in South America, you'll find them mainly in the fast-flowing waters of the Amazon River Basin. They can also be found in some other parts of South and Central America as well. There are many colors and variations of bristlenose plecos.
We commonly sell these fish when they are still young. Beginners mistaken these fish staying small, but they will grow up to 5 inches and will require atleast 20-30 gallons when fully grown.
These fish are not picky on food, they eat algae, any mulm in your tank, and as well as leftover food. Great beginner fish for the most part, they are non aggressive but can get territorial.
