The second largest in the Dalmata series, this cup takes its name from the dotted glaze of the first prototype – “Dalmata” being Spanish for Dalmatian dogs. Its form is based on one of the first pieces I ever threw on the wheel, later refined in my moldmaking experiments. Adding a handle transformed it into the perfect size for your favourite small coffee.
The signature wobbly, not-quite-perfect handle came about by happy accident and has since become a defining feature of the Dalmata collection, alongside the larger Dalmata L, smaller Dalmata S, and the tiniest Dalmata XS.
