Dave’s has a soft spot for dogs who need a little less sodium, because they need that little extra touch of loving care. So we kept things super simple and digestible with this recipe—with what’s basically, chicken in a can. There’s no added sodium. Only the sodium that’s naturally found in chicken. Gluten- and wheat-free, it’s also available in a dry recipe.

*Always consult with a veterinarian before putting your pet on a restricted diet. This formula is not a definitive replacement for any prescription diet, but is great for dogs who do better on a bland diet.

Our Restricted Diet formulas are intended for intermittent and supplemental feeding only. The low levels of salt in the food does not meet The Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) requirements for healthy adult maintenance. We only recommend using these foods if your pet is having an issue that requires them to be on a low, restricted diet. Once (and if) the issue is resolved, you will want to switch back to a regular diet. If the issue is chronic, it is okay to maintain the diet. As always, we recommend speaking with your veterinarian concerning feeding guidelines when your pet is challenged by health issues.
