A striking and sizeable antique signal lamp made of copper, brass, and steel, featuring a beautiful combination of colors. It produces red, green, or clear light. The lamp shows a well‑used, weathered appearance, giving it great character.
It was likely used for traffic or railway signalling. By turning the handle, you can select red, green, or clear light. One opening is still unused — this was probably meant for an orange filter.
Both the brass rim and the retaining clip are stamped with 25 11.
The lens shows noticeable scratches. The burner does not appear completely original, which makes it turn a bit stiffly; it is unknown whether it was replaced later.
A wonderful item for any collection, but also perfectly suitable for atmospheric lighting at home, in the garden, or on holiday.
