Highlights:

At 9 mm toe and 14 mm heel, the Griffon X M-Werks drops the skier significantly lower to the ski compared to a regular Griffon, enhancing feedback and control. The heel piece shifts material forward for a shorter mount zone without altering the drill pattern, allowing for a better feel and flex of the ski, while magnesium parts reinforce both toe wings and heel frame, features once reserved only for the Jester. Horizontal toe springs and a vertical heel tower ensure proven Royal Family reliability in this design.

Things to consider:

This is a freeride focused binding, and is not a great choice for narrow frontside skis that require leverage and a higher stand height for high edge angles. Additionally, the move to a fixed brake assembly means you’ll need to pick your brake width at purchase, no more swapping brakes between skis. This might limit versatility for some skiers. Finally, remember that this binding is going to enhance a ski’s fundamental characteristics, meaning that if you have a very responsive ski to start, the M-Werks will only increase that responsiveness.
