The Pederson Cleaner Shrimp, also known as the Caribbean Anemone Shrimp, inhabits the western tropical Atlantic and Caribbean regions. These specimens display a translucent brown coloration complemented by distinctive purple and blue markings that extend across their notably enlarged anterior claws.

As obligate cleaners, they employ their prominent antennae to establish cleaning stations, facilitating mutualistic relationships with fish species that actively participate in oral cavity cleaning sessions.
