• This is a gorgeous set of placemats with matching napkins, they are white organza with white embroidered swirls, this white on white gives them a very elegant look.  The needlework looks to be done by hand, (but we're not experts), they are finished with a stitched scalloped border also in white.  These are bright white, they are machine washable, so you can always use a little bleach if they were to get stained.  There's no need to iron if removed promptly from the dryer.  There are 8 placemats and 6 napkins, that gives you a couple of extra placemats in case of future spills or stains that can't be remedied.  They are very soft, if you like a firmer feel, these can be starched and ironed.  Beautiful any time of day.  Also great used as doilies under long vases or platters.  The napkins are a great size to use in bread baskets.
